Attack Value

Hi,

Let's say a unit is wielding Bardiche Axe (Attack +17, -6 Attack vs Mounted) and unit's attack value is displayed being 32.

Is unit's effective attack value against mounted 32-6=26 or 32-17-6=9?

I have now played through the English and almost through the French by going with the former. Not that it have mattered much because I haven't wielded weapons with so big a difference between the two attack values in many battles so many times. But this would something good to know for the future.

Thanks!

Hi again,

Maybe this issue is one of them that requires digging into inside the code again. But if at all possible I hope you get around checking it eventually.

Thanks!

I would assume it's the first, because the generic attack value works against everyone and the antiinfantry and anticavalry values are then added or subtracted. Just like the goedendag (anticavalry weapon) has a generic attack bonus of +5, and an additional anticavalry one of +4.

Yes, I think you're corrcect. That is what I've assumed and is probably correct. It wouldn't make sense regards goedendag you mentioned otherwise :)
