Cohesion Tests

After looking at the "manual" re cohesion tests, I don't understand how it works. Here's are some of the modifiers:
+1 There are adjacent friends other than light foot or light horse in their rear.
+2 The battle group in command range of an inspired commander.
+1 The battle group in command range of a field or troop commander.
+1 The battle group is adjacent to a friendly commander.

So if I have an unrouted BG with an inspired commander behind a unit taking a cohesion test, does it get a +4 modifer?

I believe they do stack to an extent, the commander probably adds his mod but that would include rear support so I don't think you get it too. Maybe a +3 in your example...

deadtorius, thanks for your response.

This is another example of how the manual is rather deficient--this is kind of basic question, but the answer is not apparent. But in the TT rules, it seems like I'd get +4 in a similar situation, so why on PC only +3?

In the TT rules you would get +3.
