Hey all

Is it possible to run multiple version on 1 computer?

I have some games started but would like to start new ones but my new potential opponents all play 1.02 GS mod...

I know its possible how do we do it?

Well I say they need to get with the program and upgrade! :)

We have the link available on the forum.

I too would like to know if I can play GS 1.02 and GS 1.04 on one machine. If I install the CEAW Gold to a different folder and apply the GS 1.04 patch, will it run? Can I create two folders in My Documents (using Windows XP) to keep the data files separate for the two versions of GS Mod?

Regards.

Why don't both of you upgrade to v1.04? You don't invalidate save games between v1.02 and v1.04. So you can continue all your games if you upgrade.

If you don't upgrade and your opponent does then all you see is that you get the checksum error every turn. That won't harm the game, but it can be annoying. If both upgrade then you get the message only once.

I have been playing GS 1.02 games - even though I have 1.04. It works fine - You just have to get through the checksum errors at both ends...

I decided to install 1.04 on one computer, and 1.02 on another. Reason I asked in the first place is that like Supermax I have an ongoing game and my esteemed opponent elects not to upgrade. So while I understand the check sum error message, I'm honoring my opponent's request.

Still curious as to whether it is possible to have both versions on one computer :?:

Thank you.
