Big Games

I understand that the lists were made to a maximum of 1000pts. We are playing a Italian’s war campaign with big armies, 1200, 1400 pts moving to a 1600 game. The question is about how to scale the lists. Up to now we solve the problem with allied contingents. So we made Charles VIII army of 1400 pts from the Ordenance French list with Italian and Swiss allies. Italian opponents were made as coalitions of various states armies. Not a very good solution, especially with the number of commanders in mind.

Increase all the minima and maxima in the lists by 50%. You could also choose to increase the size of individual BGs.

We have been doing some 1600+ games on 10 x 5 tables. They really seem t fit, Light Horse have the room to manouvere, and heavy foot can get proper supported lines.

We are planning a 2000 pt game with free ic & 4 tc of Later Hungarians with ally v Medieval Germans for Sunday 21st in Chantilly Va, ok not local for you, but handy for Dulles airport !

There was a 4000 point a side game at the BHGS Challenge last year. Five players per side refought Chalons. I think there is a write up somewhere.

Thank to you all. A pity missing that game, it sounds great. But you are all welcome to our coming Fornovo Game (28mm.55BG)

Something that Simon promised but has not had chance to complete yet unfortunately.
