Which troops in woods?

With the new maps, I'm fighting in woods a lot more often. which units are best to defend in woods, and which to attack?
I found the rules a little confusing, as units seem to be disadvantaged by defending from, or attacking into, woods, which would seem to make it a wash...

It means if either side is in the terrain the terrain modifiers apply.
Most people get disordered by terrain, some badly disordered. Disorder loses 1 in 3 dice, badly disordered 1 in 2. Some of your +/- do not apply when disordered and this effects the combat more than anything.

Seems like the terrain affects on POA are not being correctly applied. I charged Thracians in the woods with Companions in the open and according to the Display window the Companions counted as severely disordered but counted both the POA for lance and the POA for mounted fighting MF in the open. I can email you a screenshot if you want showing the details.

Can you post it as a bug to the tech support forum. A screenshot would be useful.
