Slitherine are pleased to announce the release of Rise of Rome Digital!

Developed by HexWar, Rise of Rome is the first expansion for Field of Glory and adds a host of new features, primarily the Digital Army Generator (DAG). This allows you to design historical armies just like you would for the tabletop with a very user friendly editor. You can then take them in to battle against the AI or online using Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM server. It truly brings digital wargaming to a new level.

You can find out more on the Rise of Rome product page along with a selection of screenshot showing the D.A.G. and some of the many armies you can build with it.

We decided to wait till Rise of Rome was out the way. That should not be long now. Sorry for the delay.

Given that it's unlikely that you are going to create a Linux version I would still like to know if it works under Wine. Can't be that hard to set up a Linux box and test it, right? :)

The army generator is a really good improvement on the basic game and makes the experience feel much more like playing the table top game. What is the points corralation between this and the points for the table top game. I guess that 400points is roughly equivalent to 650 points.

Thanks
