In case you missed it in the ROR thread we are going to hold back the release of RoR until at least Monday. We are still getting the final balance and UI tweaks done.
If anyone who pre-ordered RoR wants to beta test it over the weekend send us your pre-order recepit and username and we'll get a few of you set up. Mail it to
info@slitherine.co.uk ASAP!
You have 2 hours to let us know if you want it!
Note - Beta testers will not be able to play the orginal FoG games until you uninstall and reinstall FoG, or wait for the final RoR release.

Is it true that the REAL reason is that the Beta Testers are having too good a time playing RoR and simply forgot to do what was necessary to release it on sunday?

Put it this way - if you want to pre-order you better do it very very soon!
Only down side is we've not got the LOS changes or AI upgrades in yet. We spent all week polishing the core features so the team are going to work on those over the weekend. The good news is its look very cool

Looks like a second delay is on the way

Glad to hear good progress has been made and looking forward to it coming down once it is ready. Some folks will be venting their displeasure at a second delay of course, but once it gets here it sounds that will dissipate soon enough.
Thanks

Sounds as if a lot of TLC is going into it.
If it takes a little longer to get it just right, then so be it.
Most good things are worth the wait.

If it took you a week to iron out the kinks in the core features, is the weekend really going to be enough to get LOS and AI upgrades in???? That sounds awfully like a rush job to me. Realistically should we looking for a longer delay if you want to release a quality product with the AI upgrade and the LOS which were supposedly the reason for the original delay?

And, tellingly, it would have been released with 'kinks' in the core material had it been put out a week ago.
Much better to get it right. I know there will be the odd glitch or two anyway, that's inevitable. But clearly even the 'core' wasn't in fact ready last week. So I'm glad there was a delay and I would n't mind another one if necessary.

We are going to go without AI and LOS changes and patch them in when they are ready. Dont worry - we'll make sure they are done right!
