Just a speculative question.

If Poor foot troops reach the enemy camp do they have to roll a double 6 to loot ?

(The first 6 being re-rolled because they are poor)

They don't have to roll to loot unless the camp is fortified. They then need to roll a 5 or 6, being foot. Quality applies so the would re-roll a six on first attempt

Hi again Pete

They do not need to roll if it is unfortified.

I also assume quality re-rolls do not impact taking a fortified camp and foot also get to take it on a 5, only mounted need a 6.

How did you get on at the weekend?

I made a complete turnip of that question didn't I. ***Sigh*** it's been a bad morning ...

Lets try again.

If poor troops contact a fortified camp do they have to re-roll the 6 to succsessfully loot ?

Do poor mounted troops in effect need a double 6 ?

just adding to the question

If the poor troops trying to sack a fortified camp are joined by a general "in combat," are they temporarily upgraded to average, like normal combat?

Does it work the same way for average, superior and elite troops?

Thanks

No as it is not combat. at least in my opinion

Page 24: "A commander fighting in the front rank....allows the close combat "to hit" dice (but not any other type of dice rolls) of that battle group to be one re-roll level higher."

I think "rolling to successfully sack a fortified camp" is a different type of die roll.

Also, since "the camp guards who must be defeated" ( Pg 88 ) don't fight back, a commander in the front rank is not at risk and IMO should not get to add his bonus.
