Slitherine

I've played some games of the scenario Starter army 3 (Alexander vs. Porus)
Whenever the AI-player is playing indians, I never ever saw him using his bowmen for shooting.
Is this a problem in the AI-settings?
Is the AI a little bit screwed up here?

I think there are several posts buried about this topic somewhere (I posted one several months back) so players are aware The important ? is Slitherine aware so they can fix
