I accepted a challange and when trying to enter my first move got the error message:

Sorry, the file 'i0000006224.fogdg' does not seem to be valid.

Any ideas?

Correction to the previous post. The file name should have been: i0000006224.fogsg

Do you have the map pack with the new scenarios?

Yes, I have the maps. I have played this scenario (Caesars Landing) on a number of occasions

OK, this is starting to get annoying. Another game (The Rhine 58BC on the first turn) is displaying the same type of error. I now have two games with the same error. I have checked the installed version 1.03 and checked I have the Map pack installed - I have.

I have also installed the game (including patch and map pack) on a laptop with the same results.

Help -- please?

The Rhine 58BC is not part of the Map Pack, it must be downloaded separately. Have you?

The problem is people are hacking the data and creating scenarios not supported by the game and we're expected to make it work - which is impossible as you dont have the files :)

We're working on a way to prevent this happenign but it will not be until RoR releases. Until then only accept challenges for maps in the games core map set.

Thanks for your reply. Certainly makes sense what you are saying. Whilst it is great to have scenarios that players have created to add variety and fresh challanges I appreciate it must be a nightmare to administer/monitor.

Just like to say it is refreshing to a have a software company that is as resposive as you to customers queries. Keep up the good work!

BTW just pre-ordered Rise of Rome - really looking forward to it.
