Hi i've decided to make an 800 pt Timurid army, and I was wondering if anyone has any army list suggestions. Also I'd like to use allies with cavalry that do things other than just shoot bows.
Thanks,
D

i would be tempted to suggest the ilkhanid list as having better options for non shooty cavalry.
Timurids dont do much unless you plan on taking all the elephants.

IMO if your not wanting shooty Cavalry the Timurids arn't the best army for you.
The only allies you can have are Black or White sheep Turconman more shooty Cavalry.
Uzbek allies more shooty cavalry.
TBH apart from the medium foot and the handguners and the mob and the elephants all you have left are Cavalry Bow and Light Horse bow.
So if you don't like shooty Cavalry have a look around at Western Turks depending on date you can have Lancer Cavalry and Light horse Bow. Seljik Turks in Iran before 1125 can have Lancers I'm sure theres more in all the books that are out.

I really like the look of the Ilkhanids, with the ability to use both knights and mongol cavalry, so im gonna drop the Timurid Project.
Does Anyone out there know any good 25mm or 1/72 cheap mongols?

look pretty good to me - but 1/72 is going to be noticeably smaller than your typical 25/28mm lead figures.
