What a dilemma! Do I take my (hopefully by then completely finished) 28mm Arabs into period 3 or my wild men from the North American woods into period 4?

What is the game schedule for Britcon? I.e. when are the rounds? I couldn't find it on the BHGS site. I'm trying to plan a family vacation around this, so I'm trying to figure when the gaming starts and stops.
Thx in advance.

I don't know how UK players cope with Britcon, 3 game on a Saturday, ouch! You need some Italian organisation:
8.30 register. Any UK players present usually arrive around this time.
9.00 to about 10.00, everyone starts arriving, coffee, chat, relax
10.00-13.30 first game
13.30-15.00ish lunch
15.00-18.30 second game
20.00-24.00 social dinner, which is really what everyone came for anyway
9.00 pretend start time, as it's Sunday
9.30 real start time
etc

One other question. I heard something about games on Thursday. When do they run? Are there also games during the day on Friday?

Thursday is an informal thing though there are usually a few people there - just turn up wiht your army and you will be able to pick up a game. Friday the same with more people.

All the tables are set up by Thursday morning. People start to arrive during the day. If you want practice games or to play that Arnehm campiagn you always wanted to but didn't have the 24' long table you needed to do it then this is your opportunity. It is normally best if you want ot play games on Thursday morning to try to arrange them on the forum beforehand. By mid afternoon there are plenty of people to play so it is less important to pre arrange. Friday day is another opportunity for practice but there is normally little need to arrange things up front.

And as well as the psychological ploy of leaving you waiting in the arena, alone, they then stake you out in the baking sun for 2 days so that us Northern Europeans stand no chance. You do get a good tan though.

There'#s no real need for it nowadays either. We used to have 6 rounds because the DBM competition was so large (it took that number to get a 'proper' winner).
Nik - might it be a good time to suggest some sort of poll at this year's event as to whether Saturday could be reduced to 2 games in future years? Some potential attendees have said they're put off by the long Saturday. Plus it would make the admin and fitting in shopping easier.

So the umpires don't hand out suncream at Britcon then?
