unsual situation

During IWC2010, we had an unusual situation .

On one side , a unit of LH routs it's opponent and as it is the initial rout, will pursue . If it pursue, it will encounter frontally an ennemy BG of KN , so should be able to stop at 1 MU from it .

Things are, that specific ennemy KN BG has also broken , in the very same round, his opponent and will pursue and contact the pursuing LH .

So should it be treated as if the pursuing LH charge and cannot evade the KN ( even if in pursuit they could have stopped 1 MU from that unit ) or should the pursuing LH be able to evade the "charging" KN .

This is an interesting one. I think you have to play it in sequence. So:

If the KN move first then, if their pursuit would contact the LH, then the LH respond as normal and would evade (unless they wished to stand and passed a CMT).

If the LH move first then they can stop at 1 MU and when the KN move, respond as normal.

So they would evade
