Hi

Fighting with a single line of slings in front of my early imperial romans .
Opponent has armenians with LH archers.
He charges my slings who evade through the legionaries
Stop 1 mu away and shoots at my legionnaries.
There is space for my slingers to move between the LH and the Legionaries
Can i advance my slings there- in the 1mu between legionnaries and the
horse archers ?
Otherwise i have to charge the LH to get rid of them which disorders my
line and gets things ready for his cataphracts

Assuming your slingers have the move, they can go into the space beteen the Legions and the LH.
Stop 1 mu away and shoots at my legionnaries.
I assume this didn't happen in the turn they charged as BGs who move in the Impact phase may not shoot (P81).

They might be able to move to the space but they are not going to be able to fit unless the slingers are in a single rank :(

Hi Hammy

I read it as they were charged in single rank so should still be in single rank.

That was an assumption I'd made.

Me being a man of many LH why would you want to move your LI. I know they will take the shooting away from the heavies but it would be fives to hit and only fours on the slingers. I can see it now you move they charge you move they charge  just joking LH are just made to annoy you thats all they can do.
