Opinion sought on Later Low Countries as a Swiss alternative

I'm thinking of using a pike based army for the next year or so (got lots of nice figures to paint). Looking at the forums there seems to be a feeling that Swiss are a bit limited - what to folks think about Later Low Countries as an aslternative that is a bit more flexible?

Medieval German City Leagues might be an even more flexible army than Low Countries, with up to 36 landsknechts in the later period. Particularly the Swabian Wars against the Three Leagues and the Old Swiss Confederacy. An alternative is earlier with a Swiss ally and 36 poor pike internal to the list. Lots of armoured HW infantry too.

What the city leagues offer that the Low Countries does not is useful MF and cav. As well as plenty of armored troops.

Later low country is the list which can field the most number of pikes, even more than swiss, that could field a great number of skirmishers. I think it is its oddity, so if I should field a later low country army, I would try to maximize the number of pikes, something like 80 or such...

Since you are only required to have 28 points of other troops, I don't see why you couldn't take 100+.
