Multiplay first timer.

Has played computer games since the late eighties but never felt that much to try multiplay.
Well, there's a first time for everything and o'boy am I excited. This is a great game in every way
and the fact that it made me take the plunge is something I only can be gratefull for.
I made some challenges to be sure to get a game going and all of a sudden I have four going on. Why not!
One question also. When seing the replay of my opponents turn it's always in the closest zoom.
Small thing but would it be possible to have a way to choose zoom level? I like to have a bit more overlook
when I play. I can do that after the replay finish of course but it would be nice to have the replay that way also.
Great game!

Yes its a great game. Zoom out/in controls are the - and + signs next to the minimap, bottom right of the screen. You can also use the + and - keys or a mouse wheel if you have one.

Ha,ha.. it must be the tension. I thought I'd used the wheel and nothing happened and that the replay was fixed in max zoom.
Of course it work as it should. Thanks Ironclad.
papajack.. I might very well do that as soon as the current games are finished. Thank you for the invitation.

Well, finished my first game and got soundly beaten. Learned a lot:
Not to get too aggressive in the beginning. It seems ok about halfway but then it all fals apart.
How to use skirmisher (by studying my opponent) and how not to use them (by learning from own mistakes).
And lots more. Enjoyed it immensely, though.
One thing, the last turn was by my opponent and he finished by thanking for a good game. As far as I can tell there were no way for me to send a final comment.
If so, I think it could be nice to have that chance even if I receive the last turn.
Just a thought.

I agree, would be a nice option to be able to send a final thanks for the game, when the game finishes sooner than you expect

I also agree - plus it would be nice in the list of games I've finished to see which I won, drawn, or (sadly the majority I fear), lost.

Another new player here, just want to say I am really enjoying this game!

I am noticing that the scenarios aren't very balanced (not necessarily a bad thing). Is this a fair observation? Seems like the best way to play this game is to switch sides after a scenario and compare scores.

Well, I took the plunge tonite and tried my ist multiplayer game, starter scenario 3 as the Indians, was crushed by turn 6 but had a great time.

Lessons learned:
Know your army: the outflanking battle plan I had didnt work out so good w undrilled troops
Don't commit your overall leader to the front lines on turn 2, he might end up dead on turn 3
I also realized how difficult it is to get an opportunity for a rear attack when playing a human, bottom line, dont count on it.

Cheers

@pitchfork- Several of the scenarios are unbalanced, some more than others. The starter battles are ment to be balanced as I understand.
The game is addictive. I started with four losses in a row  But I persevered and the next three I won!
A pity I was too timid to apply for the League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Seems like a lot of fun.

Yeah I figured it was too good to be true (and not just beginner's luck) when I won my first 3, and then tried both sides on a scenario against the same player and we split. ;--)

Great game, hope the league expands- looks like fun.
