Origins 2010 Question

Because Historicon has moved up this year, its very close to Origins.

Origins Saturday is June 26,
Historicon is 2 weeks after that

I will run an Origins FOG competition if we have enough interest. Origins DBM/FOG has varied widely over the past, at one point more than 20 people to 6 last year.

Please let me know your thoughts, if I can get at least 6 interested I will run it.

I'll take a poll of the locals, we'll probably have at least 6 or 8 from here. I'll keep you updated.

I would love to make it up to one of the events up north.
Do you guys ever do 2 day tourneys to make the trip a little more worth while?
I could come feed you all some points like I od down here in the GCC.

The tournament is on Saturday, its listed in the Origins PEL too. We need to figure out if it will be 25mm or 15mm - last year we did 25s with one loaner army being used. I'll have a loaner available (Crusader/Norman type) and we can get more if anyone would like to do that. I'll get an update posted here on details in the next week or so.

Gino-

Our MO has always been the one-day tournament in Ohio, seems to be what people prefer. Howerver, I would LOVE to get a group of you guys up here and would certainly expand to 2 days if we could get a good group to travel. I'm really only in charge of Origins usually, Fletcher does Advance the Colors in the fall. Lets talk more about how to get this going....

If we do 25's, will it be 800 points or 650 like last year? 4x6 or 5x8?

I finally found it in the Origins book. I'm planning on being there.

I'm intrested and will press Madcam and a couple of others for this event. Any format for us 15 mm players?

Yes,
Let's discuss this mid to late summer when my life slows down a bit.
I think I could get 6-8 Gulf South Players to make the trek for a 2 day 4 or 5 round tourney.

Last year we didn't know what scale we were playing till everyone showed up, so I brought both.
Turned out we had a 25mm tourney. we may have both or just one this year. Remains to be seen :?

Yes, we can do 15s for sure as long as we get some Cincy people. Lets keep in touch on this so I can keep everyone informed.

Mike would love to have you there....

Indeed, I may then try to make it knowing due to the pool size, you wouldn't be able to duck me...

Details, more to come as we finalize the attendance list:

25mm 800 points, 3 rounds on Saturday (this will include adjusted start positions as we've used at Historicon etc)
Maybe 15mm 800 points, 3 rounds on Saturday - this depends on primarily if we get the Cincy group

Prizes will be provided by Osprey, usually its books of your choice but I haven't finalized it yet with them.

Please send me an e-mail at sphallen at gmail dot com or PM me if you're thinking about attending - I need to get numbers.

For those from out of town, we can also have an event on Friday night if you're interested :)

Thanks, Steve

Any more word of interest/attendence?

I'd like to come but if I am just going to have to crush Mike Hart for Threes games straight it sounds rather easy and hardly worth the trip.
