Oh I am just starting a new topic.
Health warning:If you are easily offended by normal discussion please don't join in.
So just want to ask everyone where did you buy your copy of Spartan from and how much? Did you buy it new as soon as it came out? I got mine for ??5 second hand. Lets hope no one here Download their off the internet.
I also got Gates of Troy direct from Slitherine for ??20 new. That was quite funny because apparently the credit card service they used said my credit card was 'high risk' or something. So Iain email me and asked me to confirm my address and details. I was quite angry at it so I had a go at him because I use that card to buy on the internet all the time and it is even registared on Paypal.
But enough of my story lets hear yours.

I like your warning very much, very subtle.
I bought Spartan sometime very soon after it was released having played the demo and the beta (only for a while unfortunately). I paid 24.99 or something (that is GBP) from GAME. I got GoT eh, don't remember when now, but several months after the release. I think it was last Fall. Anyway I bought it for 19.99 GBP from a GAME store again.

That was a great deal. I bought it close to full price (CoW) I think. It's been a few years so I don't remember the price. And yes I don't have very good memory.

I used the link on this site to buy Gates of Troy at Cajoo.com for $30. Yes, it was a download. I also bought Chariots of War for $20 on this site (Slitherine) through download. Both great deals

. It's hard to find either one in retail nowadays; backordering it second hand would have been cheaper, and it would have given me a nice box (maybe), but it could have taken a longtime and some retailers are unreliable. Not to mention that I'm very impatient.

I heard 20$ originally. Definitrely twenty somethings, anyways.
Im hoping for 20$, but I will be willing to pay more if player vs. player battles become available.

The idea was to release at $20 for a digital download version. Since then we've signed up publishers in most teritories around the world and it will be them who decide the price in their local area.

I paid around 40 ?‚¬ for Spartan and 20 ?‚¬ for GoT. Got them as soon as they were released here in Spain. The good thing is that I'm still playing them (and enjoying).

I waited until they took their first price drop, so I paid around $19.95 each for Legion, CoW, and Spartan a few months after each one came out. The local EBGames has another copy of Spartan reduced to $9.95, but I haven't seen GoT yet at any price.

I've had it for little over a year now, and I still enjoy it.
Now that's a lot of bang for your buck! Great game.

LOL, I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do that! I do this when there is no employee that can see me.

I go into game retailers that dont have it and ask them if they have it. Then I get my friends that like it to ask them. If they get 10 or so requests, they usually look into ordering it.
