Battles available on multiplayer, but not in single player?

When I look at the challenge list, I sometimes see scenarios that aren't available on my copy of the game. I'm assuming they're custom games, but I can't offer custom-scenario multiplayer challenges, so that doesn't make sense either.
I just accepted a challenge for the scenario Delion, 424BC. That's definitely not a standard scenario, and I don't have it, so is this some new feature of the game being tested for a new patch, or what?
EDIT: I'm going to go look for Delion in the scenario forum so I can download it in case that's necessary...

People have hacked the scenrios to allow them play MP in them - these are unsupported and will crash if you dont have them on your machine and you need exactly the same version as your opponent.

Ohhhh, okay, I understand. I have gone and downloaded the Delion v1.0 scenario, so I should be fine. Seeing as it's a hack I can't really expect you to know the answer to this, but do I put it in my custom scenario folder (username>documents>slitherine>fogscenarios>) or the folder that the regular, pre-made scenarios goes in? I have put it in the custom scenario folder.
Also, I have an on-going game that my opponent hasn't made a move in since mid-December
EDIT: Nevermind, the game runs perfectly! Do you plan to have future version of the game run custom scenarios in multiplayer mode? I'm eagerly awaiting the expansion pack, already pre-ordered on the basis that FoG is currently my favourite online time-waster

We want to support user scenarios but in a way that is seamless like the rest of the PBEM system so its a bit of work.

I know a good number of games I've played in the past have managed to do it. What would happen is that I'd be in the multiplayer lobby, click to join a game, and a little box would pop up saying that the other players were using a scenario I had not yet downloaded (Mechwarrior 4 did this, for example). Then it would start transferring the file over. I guess the PBEM system is problematic in the sense that the player is not there to stream the file to me; perhaps there could be a half-way house that the player sends the file to when he makes the challenge?

It's something we're expending a lot of thought on. We need to be sure that people don't get large downloads when they want to start a game, that people can't send objectionable content, or break the game in some way. As Iain says, we are trying to make sure it is as turnkey as possible. Watch this space
Cheers
