advice for a pict army

i'm looking some advice about a pict army
does anybody play any with some results ?
i have doubt about the light chariot
they seem to me bad against cavalry and anything...

The chariots are at a plus against Cavalry at impact and in melee they don't count armour against them as well as being at a plus and they do get two dice per base, so not too bad.

The chariots are at a plus against Cavalry at impact and in melee they don't count armour against them as well as being at a plus and they do get two dice per base, so not too bad.
Not against most Cav. They only get a plus against other mounted that does not have a POA since they are light spear. In melee they have no POA's.
I don't rate the chariots though for this army. Its so big they have nowhere to go. Spend the points on LH, so that when your foot charge Lights they can have something alongside them who may catch the lights. Also take plenty of LF yourself to protect from shooting. Its a decent army in theme.

I used them in a tourney last year.
The unprotected spearmen are dog meat so take big BG's. I like the chariots myself, especially in an open format. Save the impact foot for something worth while.
I managed 6th out of 10. Decent for the first time on the table and in an open format.
