Are there any plans to expand the FoG rules into this period If so when can we expect the expansion. I play the rules often in 28mm, surprisingly they work very well with the 15mm MUs.

It is the forum for Field of Glory Renaissance. The rules have been through a number of beta versions and ECW was certainly a major focus for the rules testing.

Field of Glory Renaissance should be out later this year. It is a full set of rules rather than an expansion. It uses the same basic mechanisms as FOG but tuned to the Renaissance period to give plenty of period flavour. There will be 6 army list books.

The English Civil War and Thirty Years War are covered in the first army list book which will be published at the same time as the rules.

Great News. Lets hope they are both out in time for Britcon to feature a FoGR ECW/30YW themed tourney.

6 army list books. My guess on the nose. Now we can start guessing what they cover and will be called :)

You mean their titles, or what they'll be called (those parody nicknames that will be inflicted upon them no matter how lame the attempt)? Like Oafs of Frailty, or is it Oats and Realty? Is Lost Moles out yet? Perhaps this wanton army list name abuse will at last come to an end.

Boys will be boys, so I doubt we will stop wanton army list name abuse. Lost Moles has been seen in Oz I believe, due in civilisation shortly... I was after the silly names as we can never guess what Slitherine will choose for the real names.

What ever we do with FoGR it will not beat Softer than Beagles (for Swifter than Eagles) - hope one day to meet the person who came up with that and congratulate them.

Say that the first FoGR book gets called Devine Right of Kings, I can't see how we can make that funnier than it is but I am sure someone on the list who is possessed of more wit than I would take a day or two to improve upon it.

I saw Lost Moles in my local games shop yesterday..........and I like Hapsburgers with cheese, !!

I prefer my Hapsburgers without cheese. Too much cholesterol otherwise.

Presumably the ECW will have it's own book, and as the republic motto (PAX QUÆRITUR BELLO) is almost the same as the fog tagline (in peace, prepare for war), I guess that won't be a title!
