Does anyone out in the world of forums have any solid 800 point army list for the Later Teutonic Order from Eternal Empire and willing to share it with a curious soul? Something that focuses more on knights of course, it being a European army from the middle ages.

Thanks!

I ran mine as pure as moutned as possible. You don't need the infantry with the star.

So it was 4 KN
2 Brotherhood drilled
1 average drilled
1 Superior undrilled

3 turcoploes, I believe I might have had one as CV to fend off enemy LH,

1 CV XB

1 MF XB

1 MF Def Sper

some LF and 3 or 4 TCs IIRC.

4 KN, 3 of which are drilled is a lot more manuverable than peopel realize. Wrap 2 CV and 1 LH and the MF next to it and it is a force down one side of the table. The other LH delays whatever is swinging in on the flank.

I thought the LF Bow were compulsory?

I've found 6 bases of protected defensive Spear will certainly soak up bowfire and a lot else too; then they run off the field very quickly. Try replacing them with Cavalry Turkopoles who as mentioned are excellent anti LH troops.

With mine I've usualy had 4 TCs and also go for the mounted Xbow.

Not that it's helped me win at all, I just like them.

no foot is actually compulsory

where can you purchase mounted crossbowmen besides foundry? i find them too be a tad bit expensive for my taste

Essex 15s does mounted crossbows. In the MID range there are two poses - mailed with surcoat, one with coif, the other with brimmed chapeau de fer. In the EMED range there is a "German" pose, based on late 15th C, and a "Polish" for mid 14th to mid 15th. A couple in the MER range as well, best suited for 15th C. and beyond

Madaxeman's link (above) takes you to my Teutonic battle reports (Matt H).

Next time I run it I will drop the spear and foot crossbow. The only foot I'll take will be light foot archers and handgunners.

I like sixes of average drilled knights for this army. It is a very maneuverable knight army.

The mounted crossbow were absolutely vital. And you want all the Turcopoles you can get.

The problem I have had with Teutonics is that I can't win fast enough with the knights before the light stuff gets killed off.

I quite like the armoured ones in the Early list, but of course points become an issue...

It is a problem but it one of the great things about FoG you can not be certain of anything in Close Combat only I should win (may be). Not even the length of time it takes to win can not be taken for granted, I have had some fights (about three) last one turn before someone routs to 6 turns to get a result.
