Scales for Villages

Hi everyone;
Quick question, with regard to village terrain pieces. Do you use a smaller number of buildings but keep them in scale (15mm) for the building to figure compatibility or would you use a smaller scale of buildings to give the impression of a larger village?

Also, any recommendations on manufacturers? I'm working on a Later Mycenaean/Trojan army in particular, but would not mind keeping it more generic to the Biblical/Chariot period.

Thanks in advance!

I use 15mm scale buildings. Check e-bay for them. Lots of different types.

We make often diorama and we found building slightly littler are the best for visual effect.

I saw a camp whis featured a sort of hill, with 10mm or 1:200 scale buildings and figures. From across the table the illusion of a distant village on a hill was very effective - a very nice model.

Usually the buildings are in scale though, and certainly this is easier to model as a rule.

I was impressed with the hillside camp/village I saw at one tourney. I think that a line of ships drawn up on the beach with this illusion would be spendid.

The size of a FOG camp is the limit
I use smaller buildings for mine
A village is not the big either and with a bunch of stuff on it - it hard to trasnport from con to con

There are some great websites out there - google DBM camps
