Facing

A BG faces a hex corner when stationary, but moves from hex to hex across hex sides. When a BG finishes moving, how do you know which of the two possible hex corners it will face ? Is there a way to choose which one it will face ?

As long as you move through a front hex side then the facing will remain what it is before you start moving. If you move through a non front hex side, my impression is that the facing will change to the one closest to the original that includes the hex side moved through as a front hex side. E.g. if a BG begins facing up on the hex grid and then moves through its right flank hex side, the facing will rotate one corner (60 degrees) to the right. I think that this facing change is free for drilled troops and skirmishers, and costs one (or more) movement points for undrilled non-skirmishers. You should be able to get a better feeling for this by just moving some undrilled units off in a portion of the map by themselves and experimenting from there.

it is hard to tell though with time you will get a general idea which way your undrilled boys will end up facing. If all else fails move them and use the cancel move button if you don't like it.
