Any chance of fantasy setting rules?

I've been painting my 15 mm Xyston spartans lately, I'm looking forward to complete them before the TAOW rules are out ( ), I was browsing some DBA page and I came across this Hordes Of The Things set of rules, DBA-based. So I purchased it, because I like to play a fantasy battle from time to time. I wondering if the dev team is planning some expansion set of TAOW including fantasy armies...like Klingons and star trek federation... ...oh, yes, elves and orcs too. I would love to have the chance of using my (not-bought-yet) 15 mm/25 mm fantasy armies just "modding" the TAOW rules a bit to include the weird things.

Maybe such an expansion could be a strong selling point, because some people are fed up with Games Woekshop but don't want to give up their wonderful looking fantasy armies (supposing TAOW rules will be compatible with 25 mm). Or just because you like to command some romulans..eer, some elves, I mean, after commanding your spartans or byzantines for a while without having to learn a whole new set of rules.

What do you think of this, my fellow forumers???

Thanks in advances for giving your point(s) of view, and also for reading these paragraphs written in my worst english, it's been a long time since I passed my FCE exams... :(

There is also DBF which IIRC is a supplement for DBM that adds fantasy options.
It should be relatively simple to produce a rules supplement - however the real (and contentious) work is in the army lists.

It seems my idea is not being very succesful among my fellow forumers...or succesful at all  , anyway, I'll keep fighting for a fantasy expansion of the rules, more or less like Efthimios used to do with his "slitherine 4x in space" campaign...

About the army list, I find easier to make army list for fantasy setting than having to struggle with History and all its ferocious followers (what is a cataphract?...followed by la hundred post debating this and that). Well, fantasy is fantasy...You're free to break some rules, if you want, the historical lists are more demanding...and we're gonna pay for the expansion, so some work from Slitherine & Co. is expected anyway :P  .

Believe me, the fantasy lobby is pretty good at debating lists too - i've had all sorts of arguments over the proper classification of Middle-earth orcs in my home-bake lists.

And knights of Dol Amroth, and Uruk-hai, and Ents......

Ooops...you're damn right, dfmbrown

Now you mentioned it, I absolutely forgot all Tolkien fans around the world and their discussions about what a Mumakil exactly is or what is the exact range of an elven longbowman or what's the sense of an ent army. Here in slitherine we had an argument about the orcs' skin colour (green?. grey? maybe pink?)

I won't give up, anyway. TAOW. Fantasy Battles. Can't wait for it and its historical companion 8) .
