I'm looking at doing an army to oppose Mongols (they were my 1st choice but smeone at my club has built an army) so am looking at Mamluks. Could you look at the following list and advise.

If fighting Mongol you have a lot of light horse, he will have better LH. You LH should be useed to support your cavalry against Mongol LH. He must evade from your Cav but with LH support you have a good chance of catching him as he does so.

Personally I'd ditch the Elites - too difficult to provide rear support - and replace with Superiors? But Elites are scary!

And I agree with Phil - too many LH - you only really need a couple of BGs, 3 at most.

Worth considering the naffatun? - a BG for 16 AP to add an extra -1 on CT's, and/or a BG of poor LF Bow - another BG for 18 or 24 AP?

It's a very powerful, albeit small, army. The dismount option is worth having too.

With the amount of Superior / Elite and Drilled troops you have I question the need for an IC - it is better to move first against the monogls. 4 TC's would be better.

An alternative with 4 generals, less LH and no Elite cav
