Sogdians, Eureka, the 300 Club: a quick plea

Chaps

One more if I may, today.

A loooong time ago now (2004 I think it was) I saw some great previews of a Lancer from the proposed Sogdian foot and mounted, from Eureka, for the 300 Club. The order has staggered along under the withdrawal of the main sponsor so I'm told for a long time now, but we're getting close to the required numbers for the proposal to make it to production.

Can I ask anyone at all that is interested in some of these fine figures to visit Eureka, pop in a pre-order for a few figs (I do believe that we're not far away in numbers of figures, but need a few more 'sponsors' as there should be ten different interested parties), and then be positive when (if, no, when...) the required numbers are there and commitment is called for!

I can confirm that I have no affiliation whatsoever with Eureka, but have been waiting for the Sogdians to do a CACS for a long time now, and have the other bunch from Outpost (what were Central Asian Turkish under the, er, other rules) bagged and waiting, so that I can do a super swappable CACS with CAT ally or CAT with CACS ally and get a nice mix of lancers and shooty cavalry.

Thanks in advance if anyone at all is interested in them, and apologies if the post offends at all.

Kind regards

Simon

I'm going to make them this year. I'll ask Mike Broadbent if he'd like to do them. That would be after the chariot army and the early Hungarians, so perhaps late summer. They are perfect for khurasan miniatures after all!

I'm pleased to read Early Hungarians are in project. I'm still hesitating for a Dark Age army 500-1100, between an Asian Nomad army or a Lancer army as Italo-Norman or Early Hungarian and maybe both cause those are two completely different armies. Otherwise my Kushan project is stopped cause I have some difficulties to play such an army correctly.
