Simple Idea for Improvement of AI

With my multiplayer down I have spent some time playing the AI. Human players are very careful about the order in which combats are fought and in multi unit combats the order in which single units are attacked. Combats that should be won conclusively , particularly against F or D targets are carried out first with attendant benefits from morale failures by adjacent units or burst through friends being gained. The AI does not seem to do this. I am no programmer but it would seem relatively simple to code this to make the AI a much more formidable opponent. Would it be possible to do this?
