In 357AD the Caesar (junior emperor) Julian of the Western half of the Roman Empire was campaigning against Germanic tribes that had taken advantage of the civil war of 350-353AD t to invade Gaul. One of these tribes, the Alamanni, under their king Chnodomarius met the Romans in battle near Argentoratum (modern Strasbourg). The Alamanni were defeated after a hard fought battle and retreated back across the Rhine river into Germania after suffering heavy losses. Chnodomarius was captured by the Romans shortly after the batttle and was to die in captivity.

Either side can win this one.

I'm working on converting GBoH's Catalaunian Fields 451AD. I would like to do more, but good info and orders of battle are very difficult to find for the late Roman period.
