Problems with Combat Calculator

Is the calculator for manpower losses working correctly? I have been unable to understand how the % have been generated following your rules. Am I missing something?

From the rules:

Calculate manpower losses?
Depending upon the number of hits the losses inflicted will vary randomly:
0 hits : 0.01% to 1%
1 hit : 0.25% to 3%
2 hits : 0.5% to 5%
3 hits : 2% to 9%
4 hits : 5% to 14%
5 hits : 9% to 18%
6 hits : 12% to 24%

I ran a short experiment using identical units from the Pharsalus battle to generate the following results. The results in red fall oustside of the potential casualty calculator.

IMPACT ROUND:

LF (avg) vs LF (avg)

2% (1 hit) vs 7% (2 hits)
15% (3 hits) vs 1% (2 hits)
7% (2 hits) vs 3% (1 hit)
3% (1 hit) vs 20% (4 hits)

HF (elite) vs HF (sup)

11% (3 hits) vs 1% (0 hits)
15% (3 hits) vs 4% (2 hits)
21% (4 hits) vs 3% (1 hits)
7% (3 hits) vs 22% (4 hits)
3% (2 hits) vs 4% (2 hits)
22% (4 hits) vs 7% (3 hits)

HF (sup) vs HF (sup)

2% (2 hits) vs 10% (3 hits)
1% (2 hits) vs 12% (3 hits)
1% (1 hit) vs 10% (2 hits)
14% (4 hits) vs 13% (4 hits)
6% (3 hits) vs 7% (3 hits)
2% (3 hits) vs 7% (3 hits)

MELEE ROUND:

LF (avg) vs LF (avg)

13% (4 hits) vs 1% (1 hit)
3% (2 hits) vs 14% (3 hits)
10% (3 hits) vs 2% (2 hits)
4% (3 hits) vs 9% (3 hits)

HF (sup) vs HF (elite)

12% (2 hits) vs 1% (1 hit)
2% (2 hits) vs 2% (2 hits)
1% (2 hits) vs 3% (2 hits)
13% (4 hits) vs 2% (2 hits)
14% (2 hits) vs 1% (1 hit)
7% (3 hits) vs 3% (3 hits)

HF (sup) vs HF (sup)

1% (1 hit) vs 10% (2 hits)
1% (0 hits) vs 13% (2 hits)
18% (4 hits) vs 1% (2 hits)
18% (3 hits) vs 1% (0 hits)
4% (2 hits) vs 17% (4 hits)
15% (3 hits) vs 2% (2 hits)

As you can see most of the combats generated a result which exceeded the ranges provided. Could some clearer clarification of how the % is calculated be provided?

Thanks

The game is ok, what is missing is a table variation in that documation for depending if you win or lose (do most hits). The table listed is for shooting and losing only. Included as part of the next update. Keith
