Screen auto-scrolling to the left

Obviously it must be something I'm doing, but at times the battle screen starts scrolling quickly to the left edge - I can use the mouse to drag it right, but if I release it scrolls on back to the left. I can save, exit, and reboot the game to fix it (except in multiplayer!), or go to max zoom which unfortunately makes it a lot harder to see what's going on in a mix-up of units.

Is there some key I'm hitting that is causing this? Some way to reset the scroll?

Thanks,

Mike

The arrow keys and A (see help) scroll left. Are they stuck or could it just be dust on your mouse?

This might be a bug. It happened to me once during a solitaire play. After using some of the hot keys, not sure which, the screen suddenly started to automatically scroll to the top left corner of the map and the arrow keys/direction keys would not function. I simply exited the game and program, then started the program again and everything was back to normal. Hasn't happend again.

I had it too in a multi-player game. Save and exit the program solved the issue.

Can you see a pattern to when it occurs? Maybe it is some odd combination of screens and mouse position. E.g. leaving or entering a screen when scrolling. Do you all have similar screen resolutions?

It sounds like it is a game bug but we have never seen it here.

It seems to "just happen" when I am doing something involving key based scrolling - I am probably moving the mouse at the same time.

A partial workaround is to zoom out fully, but it makes it harder to see what's going on at the hex level.

It's only happened to me once, but it did happen when I was messing with the arrow scroll keys. Don't remember making any combination mouse/arrow keys.

Screen resolution 1680 x 1050.

It might be related to key scrolling when a specific thing happens in game. E.g. in the AI turn, when a window pops up, etc. If you spot a pattern and can get a repeatable case let us know and we'll fix it.

Hi, I can repro this issue 100% of the time, I am running at 2560x1600 on Windows 7. This is what I do:

Run the game, go into a new game, Clastium 222bc with defaults.
Click ok to bypass tutorial message.
Click the book to open up the Help screen.
Click "Back to Game".
Now as soon as you touch the "Up" cursor key, that will scroll to top and become locked, and up/down keys will stop working.
As soon as you touch the "Left" arrow key that will scroll to the left and become locked, and left/right keys will stop working.

edit: running Matrix version with 1.03 patch

Yup I get the same thing. I was going to post it as a bug, but now I see I am not the only one

Thanks - a repeatable case should help us locate this. Let's hope it is repeatable for us :)
