Some, er, feedback on the download process

Well "feedback" is the polite word for it.
So I've proceeded to checkout and input my card details then I get an option to add "Extended download service". I look down the list of questions and select "What is EDS?", then when I have finished reading this I find there is no easy way to navigate back to where I was. I try clicking on "Return to main help menu" but this just means I have entirely lost my place.
Eventually I work out a way to get back to where I was by inputting my e mail address and last 5 digits of my card. I then tick the box to add EDS to my order and it takes me back to the page where I have to input my card details.
Quite apart from the inconvenience of having to do this twice I am unsure whether this is just to pay for EDS or whether I am going to end up paying for the whole lot again! Even now I am unsure if my first payment has gone through and how I would now go about retrieving it and completing the download!
