The current manual update process is pretty retarded, as multiplayer is completely unplayable until after dredging up the serial number and running the update. When will we have autoupdate as in Hexwar?

From what i've read in previous posts there will be No auto update.
They are using the current manual updating to fight piracy.

I voted yes, but I do not consider it retarded. That is not correct - I do feel that a auto-update would provide a better package for the consumer and be more in line with modern game programs that are out there and therefore a more professional product. Thanks

Retarded may have been an exaggeration for effect. What he said.

We had auto update, as on HexWar, in the early beta version but on HexWar but there were some issues for some users so we passed on this for now.

Auto updaters cause all sorts of potential issues with Windows and every update they release seems to add new ones. It woudl likely be nice for the majority but a minority would have a hell of a time and we do not have the bandwidth to give them tech support.

Auto update gets my vote

Only takes a few ticks of the clock to update so manual is no problem for me.

I think that manual update is retarded, but so is Windows, so it is OK.
