A few of us are close to finishing our Round1 battles. Is there a starting date for Round2?

Cheers,
Ian

My round 1 opponent send me two challenges but the game won't accept the password. I can't contact (private message) him and he does not respond to a message in the forum.

I did. The moderator send me a reply that he is working on it. Things like this happen. It's annoying but it's a game. maybe real life problems caught up with him?

I'll wait and see

I thought a few words from your poor overworked (not) Moderator might be timely

Well a few teething problems, passwords mainly :D Thanks for the patience of those involved, nearly everything seems to have sorted itself out!!!

Let us know of any cute moments from games plus odd or funny situations. Any generals died  :?: Any BGs really distinguished themselves against the odds :?: Any fought like, well, err girls and gone down in a big heap :?:

Hope you are all enjoying the combat - send me scores when you have them and let me know about any (other) problems

Bye bye for now.

kilroy and antipasta have still not been able to start their games - I also notice that each group has only managed to complete 1 half of their Round 1 games - is the problem that we are having appearing in each group? As it is 4 days now since the original start date, will an extension be given to all round 1 games especially now that the Christmas festivities are almost upon us?

Problems notwithstanding a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all at Slitherine/HexWar and fellow tournament and FoG players - 2010 looks like it is going to be a great wargaming year.

Your game is now up ready to accept antipasta. I'll pm the new password - there was a bug preventing kilroy from using the orginal password as it was too long.... doh!

The next round is not due to start till January so you have plenty of time.

Cool 8) Anyone else have any mayhem to report :?: I played the Heraclea scenario against the PC and managed to evade two roman cavalry units back along the whole roman line, disrupt, fragment at least 10 times  Couldn't get the Pikemen up fast enough to exploit as it happend v early on ................. anyone beat that v a real live opponent :?:

One of my first round games glitched and only let me fight but not move, left my bum hanging out in the wind,it looked like Custers last stand.
Good fun though,Second round saw deeter hand me my Roman head in short order.Second game went my way but only just, humble is a good feeling right?
Looking forward to my next rumble in da jungle with strebe, great fun so far.

The worst part was that he beat me using my own scenario!

It was a real cliffhanger to the end and a pleasure to play such a skilled foe (even if it may cost me the tournament.)
