Shooting from Ambush

pg 132: "In some cases light foot can see out but not be seen. If they shoot, however, they become visible to the BG shot at, who can then shoot back." I know this applies to terrain where only LF can be hidden, but what about terrain that can hide any troops? Are we to extrapolate the rule above to say any hidden troops that shoot are seen by their target, who can then shoot back?
Thanks, Terry G.

See the FAQ. Essentially if they can see they can be seen. (This is to keep things simple. We appreciate that it might not be true in real life.)

Correct. See the FAQ.

Is there a newer version of the FAQ than 5.01? In that version, gullys are not mentioned. Or does the lack of comment in the visibility FAQ mean that as opposed to the terrain types that are mentioned, a BG in a gully can shoot out without being seen by a target beyond 1 MU?
Thanks, Terry G.
