CAESAR'S LANDING IN BRITAIN 55BC - SCENARIO
Posted: Wed Dec 16, 2009 5:29 pm
Here is a scenario I have just put together.
As the actual landing site is not known precisely, I have assumed that Caesar would land at a reasonably favorable point. In this case, the beach has one flank covered by a stream/river outlet and cliffs provide protection from a direct attack.
It is known that the British army were following Caesar's ships along the coast and attacked as he began disembarking his troops.
Caesar had two legions and some friendly Gallic warriors but has not yet had time to unload his cavalry.
The British will have a tough time trying to win this, so you may want to adjust the handicap to recreate the hesitancy that the Romans showed in landing on a hostile shore.

(I will be submitting this to Keith as well)
I hope you enjoy it
