HI,

I bought FOG because I wanted to learn something about ancient warfare. I like to play the scenarios and read about the corresponding battles at the same time. Can anyone point me to some good sources? e.g. Clastrium, one of the first up...

As a first bet you could try wikipedia or googling for a particular battle and date. For the Roman versus Carthaginian battles (and others before 100 B.C. or so), Livy and Polybius are probably the primary sources and are availabel in translation on line.

You can also try Tim Porter's FoG Wiki which has a brief description for each of the armies for the table top rules (including the ones included in the game) with links for more information and listings of books from Amazon that cover the period and army.
