When posting a list on this site can you include the point costs of units or is that likely to get you in trouble?
I know the GW is strict about this, but you chaps seem so much nicer.

Thought I should be sure before I went and did something stupid, cause thats just way out of character. Never happens. Heaven Forbid.

Any army list comes out of one of the books and anyone can check the points value, but most people will know how many points say a Cav Armoured Drilled Bow/Swd costs. So post away as you say its a nice and friendly site.

I swore I could have heard the lawyers circling in shrinking orbits.
Inching ever closer until they finally take a chomp out of my pale Canadian flesh.
Then swimming away leaving me too bleedout in an expanding cloud of my own lifesblood.

As you can tell a couple of my friends are lawyers.......

Which army list were you thinking of putting up.

I have thrown up a Late Carthage and Late Republican Roman list here, and likely will post more as time goes by.
But my main concern was posting such things on my new blog, used to run an MSN group for Chaos/Lost and the Damned in 40k and had to be real careful about posting point values. I myself never had any issues, but only because I had talked to people that had and maintained a high level of vigilance.

But thankfully that doesn't appear to be a concern here.

Not to worry. See
http://www.endoftime.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
and
http://www.madaxeman.com/index.php
lots of army lists on both sites.

Already a huge fan of the Man of Mad Axeings site, but this End of times one looks sweet too.
Thanks for the link.

Here's my crappy link to my even crappier blog:

Hanging around lawyers can mold your mind - in both senses. Army list books are sold for the purpose of creating and playing specific orders of battle for games, so in the U.S. creating and posting OBs you create on your blog is permitted fair use, and discussing or critiquing a particular list restriction can be, but reproducing a list wholesale from the book is not. (Sounds like you are from Canada, and Canadian copyright law is generally looser than U.S. law - though this might differ.

Fairness and courtesy is a good guide.

I think including the points total with a list is useful (e.g., 796 or 800). Points arithmetic is often just clutter.
