Clarifications & Complexity

Hi guys,

some people have mentioned the complexity of the rules. We agree that the layout and wording need a lot of work and on paper they do seem complex. However we feel in practice that they are much simpler to use. The two main reasons for this are the lack of single elements and single element moves. The second is that units do not need to line up to fight and that recoilers do not need to be parallel. These 2 principals mean that it should not be posible to position the figures in a way to prevent contact, kinked lines have no effect. In general all the fiddly micro measuring that you had in DBM are gone and it's now about grand strategy and tactics, not about who has the most accurate measuring stick.

We will also be going through all the feedback so far and posting clarifications tomorrow. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but we want to make sure our clarifications are as accurate as possible or it will lead to more confusion, which means we need 2 people to go through it at one time!

Obviously the wording in places is not clear enough as there are a lot of misconceptions so far. We'll get these cleared up and hopefully you can have a meaningful game.

Thanks for the feedback so far. We really appreciate it.
