Auto-save at end of turn for multi-player

At least twice now I've lost turns when I ended my turn in a multi-player game and then encountered a network error when FoG tried to upload my game to the server. The only option left to me at that point is to re-download the game and make my move over.

The game should perform an auto-save before sending similar to it does when I close a game before finishing my turn. Of course it's always been in large games that this has happened so it would really be nice to get this fixed. Probably the auto-save should be done before doing the end of turn rallying, rout moves, etc.

We're trying to work out why this would happen on the server but as an interim this is not a bad idea - no idea how technically challenging it is though so going to move it to the support forum.

I debated which forum it should go in. At any rate, network failures are always possible without there being problems at either end so it seems like a condition the game should handle more gracefully. I haven't tried doing a manual save first before ending my turn but I'm not sure that would handle the issue since I'm not sure what happens to a saved multi-player game once it is loaded again. I suspect I will get in the habit of doing this in the future at any rate to see if it works around the problem.

Due to time constraints and a desire to think my moves through I regularly do a manual save part way through a turn and then come back to it at some later time. This practice primarily started as a result of the same problem you've been encountering.
