What posibilty exits for, at least, some rudimentary LoS being introduced to FoG. Obviously this does not happen with the TT version but it seems a shame not to harness the power of the computer to carry out tasks that are now fairly routine in the majority of wargames.

The possiblity of hiding units behind hills, ridges and woods would add another dimension to combat; fog of war. The types of battles that could be recreated, or invented when the army builder becomes available, would be greatly enhanced and the all-seeing player/commander would have, realistically, some more things to think about and take into consideration. It would also IMO, add greatly to the single player experience as it would make the AI's intentions less obvious in many instances. Thoughts?

Interesting.
But if FOW is overly modelled it won't feel like an ancients game anymore.
I believe in ancient combat both side would actually have some idea of the composition and location of the enemy units.

Why not just obscure the details (troop type and stats) of the enemy unit but still show their location? More details are gathered when they get closer.

It's been on the wish list since the start :) Definitely possible but no time set for if/when it will go in.
