auto cohesion loss not ocurring

I have noticed in several games that charging troops in the rear does not always cause the auto cohesion drop of one level it should be doing. So far from what I have seen it appears that if you pursue an enemy and contact another enemy in the rear the game does not count it as a charge and no cohesion loss occurs, although it will still display the "rear" attack. Also I have noticed that units that have a general in them are for some reason immune to auto cohesion loss for being hit in the rear. I have done rear charges to several enemy generals hoping to see them drop and die easier but although the "rear" charge is displayed, no cohesion loss occurs and sometimes I end up losing what should be an almost guaranteed win in the melee.
Not sure if this was intentional or a game bug but thought you should be made aware of it.

See the help pages on rear attacks. A slight difference to the TT!

If a battlegroup starts its charge from behind a line extenting from the rear of an enemy battlegroup then you get the ++ combat benefit and cause a cohesion loss.

If for any other reason you contact the rear of an enemy battlegroup in a charge you get the ++ benefit but do not cause a cohesion loss.

well that explains it then, you have to start from behind to cause the cohesion loss got it thanks
