Choose a 50 by 50 map and put one battlegroup per hex it's 2,500 units. Thats the game design limit but your PC may end up being a little slow loading and playing game. It all depends on your RAM and PC card. Keith

I'm playing around with one that has about 130 untis. It's OK but with all those units the turns are quite slow.

Wow, that's impressive!
If a battle with 89 units is classified as High complexity, what term do you use to clssify one with 2500 units in it

The more battlegroups you load the more work the graphics card has to do. That is the key factor in game speed. So a bigger and better graphics card always helps. For myself I use a PC with an integrated graphics card!
Also maybe we need an 'ridiculously complex' catagory for games with more than 1000 battlegroups?
