Commanders - Scenario not valid

I'm having a problem with the Generals with a scenario I've been playing around with. No matter what I do I keep getting the message that the scenario isn't valid as Side 1 has 2 overall commanders and side 2 has none.
I've edited the Genrals repeatedly but it seems that it will just not accept either the changes or the scenario.
Hass anyone got any ideas or can anyone help?
Thanks

How are you editing the commander? To edit commander stats it should be shift and right click. Only 1 overall commander the rest have to be sub commanders or allied commanders. Also, yes I have done this, I forgot to change the sides, from 1 to 2, and started placing units on the other side of the map - oops - ha ,ha.

Yes, shift & right click. One overall and the rest sub commanders on each side.
Wow - Strange

Wow - Strange. I never have problems with mine - something must have gotten hung up. Is it only this scenerio you made or does it do it with each one you make? You may making a test case - place two commanders per side on a test scenerio and have one, on each side, as a overall commander and the other a subcommander. Then try to play it. If you get the same thing then there is definitly something wrong your program and you may have to reload it - not sure. If it works fine then you may have to just recreate your scenrio from scratch. I hope this helps.

Is it possible you have another commander placed you are not editing? Is this always happenign for you or just in this scenario. Are you usre you've correctly changed teh settings and stored them. E.g. when you open up the leaders again do you see there is only one overall commander for side 1?
Have you also ensured that side 2 has an overall commander - maybe you are missing this?
Is it possible you have both leaders on the same side accidentally?

Looks like both Overalls are on the same side - missed checking that. Thanks for all your help & suggestions.
Yep, that's cured it. Had a great afternoon playing around with Hannibal @ Cannae. And a big game it is. The AI doesn't seem to handle the Romans too well and despite the extra numbers I've beaten the Romans twice. It probably needs a tweak or 10. If anyone is interested drop me a pm and I'll email it to you.

I've just had problems getting a custom scenario to accept my Side 1 General ...
I was using 'Late-republican-roman HF General 1' but the scenario wouldn't load due to a 'Side 1, Overall leader 0' error. I tried several times (deleting and replacing the general) then tried using '... General 2', but same result.
Next I tried 'Mid-Republican Roman HF General 1' and all worked OK. This would suggest there is perhaps a coding error with the Late-republican-roman Generals (not being recognised as Leaders?)

If there is no general flag in red or green the battlegroup is not stored as a general. Just take the
unit
option and the shift and click a unit to edit its commander values and make it a general. In effect an BG can be a general. Keith
