Locks up when I win

I have won two scenarios and both times it locked up when I clicked the Close button on the victory menu. No virus protection in background. I have a saved game but I see nowhere to upload. I have a dxdiag.txt file and also the saved game file at Matrix at this link:

Thanks for the info. What exactly do you have to do from the saved game to make the crash happen?

Finish the last turn and then at the victory menu, wait a few minutes and then click the Close button. That's when it locks up. I just finished another custom game and it locked up the same way. I'm running XP with SP2.
However, this does not happen on my other system running Vista.

Is this always in custom scenarios?

No. The attached game at the Matrix link is the first scenario on the list of games. This last lock up was with a custom scenario I created, so it locks up with both types at the victory screen.

No help here, no help at Matrix, but I found the problem myself. DirectX acceleration, I turned it off and it works fine now.
I'm done buying PC games after about 300 of them, and going back to consoles. I am fed up with lockups, bugs, patches, and delayed crap.
Thank you for your time, iainmcneil.

I'm not sure what you mean by no help. We are responding to you and trying to work out what the problem is. It turns out is a machine specific conflict to do with your system settings. This is not something we could know about or fix, so I don't really understand your point?

Iain, I'm very sorry for how I handled this situation. I thought it should have been handled differently but that gives me no excuse, just a reason. I have been frustrated with patches and bugs for a long time, and your game happened to be the one that tipped my scale. I'm sorry sir.
In turning off DX acceleration, it also disables all sounds. Sounds in this game are very good, so I tried turning acceleration back on but only up to Basic. It works fine and the sounds work too. So if someone else has this problem when they get to the victory menu and it locks up, this may help them.
Again, I'm sorry for how I handled this issue. I have had to eat crow a few times in my life but it never tastes good.

Thanks Larry - I understand how frustrating these things can be.
If you can give us your specs we'll look in to it and see if we cna find out why it might be an issue for you. I assume you have the latest sound and graphcis drivers for your machine?
