Looking at getting some generals painted up for some medieval armies and I was wondering, if someone had a titlle such as Marshal of England, Justicar of Ireland etc, would they have use the heraldry of the position, or their own, or a mixture of both ?

Cheers

My vote for your "look" would be both . I would put the Great Man flanked by a large banner of rank and a smaller banner of their own . So three figs on the base , possibly in a triangle with the Boss at the pointy end :)

Does he still qualify as 'the great man' if he is a tc rather than ic ?

As ever thanks for the reply.
