Skirmishers standing to die

I must say I am getting fairly annoyed about LF getting charged by other light foot and electing to stand when there are seven BG's of Armoured Legionnaires just waiting to pounce.
Are there any plans to change this?

I wish there was a pop-up choice...but not do-able with email turns and such...if it was head-to-head...

We did this deliverately. The solution is not to put your LF close enough to the enemy you with to avoid to be caught by a 1-2.

Sigh......bottom line is better "quality" skirmishers don't skirmish so well....in particular light horse...........
I am thinking a tactic for the romans in Cannae is to hit the liqht horse with a skirmisher first and then follow up with a Cav stand.....as they will stand against the skirmisher.....My opponent just did this to be a couple of times, but might be he realized this too late (Hey Rich).....
I believe the current evade mechanism was the expedient solution........certainly it's not at all like the mini game....

Is there a battle of Cannae scenario? or do you mean Carrhae?

If the LH could always dance away from the LF, would there be any chance of the Romans (or any non-LH army) winning?

We are looking at ways to deal with this in future but we're trying not to add lots of complex UI. The idea would be to let a unit know if it was in "skirmish" formation somehow.
Not going to happen in the immediate future though.
