Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes France.
INSCRIPTION

A lunch at the Cafeteria will be available the Sunday 07th Payment on arrival.
Only 24 places available, be fast to be the first in !
Accommodation:
Accommodation is not included in the entry fee nor will organisers handle hotel bookings but a list of recommended nearby hotels will be provided if needed.
Competition Rules:
The rules to be used are the latest version of Field of Glory as authorised by Slitherine Strategies.
Players wishing to participate must be registered by contacting
Gillesw01@free.fr

One Pool: MEDIEVAL: From 1000AD to 1500AD All Army lists entering in the period are allowed.

Umpire:
Gilles Wielgosz

The list submitted must not exceed 800 points specified.
1. The competition will use the full rules including the terrain and set-up appendices.
2. The scoring system will be the 25-0 of Terry Shaw and will be displayed on the Field of Glory website www.fieldofglory.com .
3. Army lists must specify the number and size of battle groups and their order of march for deployment, and the number and type of commanders chosen. They should also include the territory list for the army. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. Players may only correct their errors by making reasonable changes to their list. It is not allowed to completely re-write the list, and the list checkers decision on this is final.
4. Olivier’s excel army list calculator is available for downloadable on the Field of Glory French site at www.fieldofglory.fr
5. Please note the FOG in Cannes 2009 event is a single list format. Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after set up dice have been rolled) must be corrected prior to deployment if spotted in time, and fully corrected in any case before the next match.
6. Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker not later than one week before the event.
7. The List Checker is Gilles Wielgosz ( gillesw01@free.fr ) ( 33 )674816176 . Please note that only incoming calls are possible, and that the list checker can only respond to queries in connection with Army Lists. All other queries must be addressed to the organiser (see below). The list checker will provide a standard excel format along with the requested lists and would appreciate, where possible, that players use this to ease checking.
8. Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table. Figures must provide a reasonably accurate representation of the troops they are trying to represent – they must not look deliberately misleading.
9. Table size is 6' x 4' and players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard for ca high profile international event, and the umpire will have the discretion to remove unsightly items. In addition all figures must be representative and painted and based to an acceptable standard.
10. Players must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time (see the program below). Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes. After which time the effected player will be awarded a bye. No player will be awarded more than one bye for any reason. If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded maximum points, and they will be awarded 0 points.
11. When time is called, play will continue until the end of the turn of the player who moved second, such that both players will have had an equal number of turns. Play will stop immediately before the joint action phase following this.
12. Time will be called after 3.5 hours plus a 1 – 15 minute random factor. The random factor will be determined by the umpire prior to the start of the round, and will not be revealed until the announcement is made. Players may always commence games earlier than the stated time by mutual consent.
13. Timing :
Saturday afternoon 1PM opening of the venue
2PM -first game
5.30PM- second game
Sunday 8.30AM - opening of the venue
8.30AM-9.00AM third game
12.30AM –Lunch time
1PM - fourth game
4.30PM Announcement of the results
Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. An application to enter denotes acceptance of these rules. Any queries to be addressed to Gilles Wielgosz (gillesw01@free.fr ) or on the FOG forum addressed to thefrenchjester. A system of shuttles will be in place to help international players from airports, or railway stations to the hotels and the event ; any queries for accommodation to be addressed to Philippe Bazin philibaz@orange.fr

I think he was 'D'Addino'. Unfortunately he is not coming and so far I found nobody joining me.
So I'm now in doubt.
An Italian competition just the week before doesn't help either.

Hi Gilles,
many thanks for your reply.
If everything will be alright (regarding my work) I will go to Cannes.
I guess to be able to confirm it next week.

Do you have any kind of agreement (discount) with some hotels, close to the venue, please?

Sergio
