Hi,
I'm always interested by (the quite rare) new Ancient games, so FoG may be for me. Yet, even if it looks nice, I do want an "open" game where I can create armies and battlegrounds. I was disappointed by the Tin Soldiers series, because the small number of battles made it quite short-lived.

I looked at the screenies and read posts here about the game, a "scenario editor" is listed as a feature, but nothing clearly state what you can do or not regarding armies - ie is there only a given set of armies for the depicted countries? Do we have to always play the armies of the 12 battles depicted ? Or "army lists" like in tabletop game where you can somewhat customize but with limitations ? Or can we create fully new armies ?

The scenario editor lets you place any of the units available in the game, but later on we'll be releasing an army editor to let you compete against other players army designs. There should be a lot to keep people going and I think the number of user scenarios will be growing fast.

Just what I hoped for, thanks ! Think I'm gonna buy it soon...
Another useful thing to give potential buyers some more hindsight would be to have an AAR with screens posted somewhere.

Here you go, PDiFolco:

It's an AAR of one of the smallest battles in the game. The battle is basically a comp-stomp, although on multiplayer somebody agreed to my challenge on this map. It's also pre-patch.
