LF interpenatration

Had a situation last night where a BG of 6 LF moving through a friendly unit at an angle. All the stands where able to reach the MF but to reach the other side of the MF they would EXCEED the 5 inches plus 2 inch extension. Per MADCAM, the first bullet for interpenatrations is ignored since it is all other cases and the unit will continue thru which was prolly total of 8 - 9 inches and able to fire. Please, could someone explain to me how this is even remotely possible.

See the threads about SPACE WARP of some weeks ago (I suppose early october). If your opponent make this move intentionally, you have my special licence to revile him.

I have no issue with the extra inches the unit will receieve as long as the unit of LF does not fire. So by following the first bullet, the unit of LF would extend there move but not exceed the extra 2 inches. In doing so, the unit is unable to fire. But if the unit warps to hell and back, the LF is able to fire???? Don't the rules also state that use your best judgement???? CMON!~!!!!!!

Hi Mike - I agree - and I'm sure any umpire would too.
If LF can add 2" and be banned from shooting, then the same LF adding more than 2" should be banned from shooting too.
Anything else is nonsensical.

egads that makes perfect sense..... and it didn't even take 101 posts of constant arguments to get there.

Is there not a bit of the rules somewhere that says any BG moving more than it is allowed by inerpenetrating does not get to shoot.
Or did we just make that up in Manchester?

If you claim the 2MU bonus you cannot shoot.
Also new FAQ near and will fix the teleportation issue, so any such "fun" will be short-lived anyway.
More soon.

But that doesn't solve the problem of moving further than normal, though not claiming the 2 MU and then shooting.

good! andwhen that FAQ is released such nonsense will cease...
till then and with the RAW, could they (LF) move and shoot fulfilling the second bullet? That is what is the crux...
the first bullet specifically says they can not. the second omits any such language....
Madcam.
(and we both thought it and the space warp cheesy, I just went to the nth degree of cheesy by throwing the fire at the end).

As do I, but that is not the issue. using the RAW, its allowed. (that is, unless one channels the all elusive "intent" clause that doesn't always make it cross the pond

)

I thought that the ability to interpenetrate lights and excede your normal move allowance while penetrating difficult terrain was related to the fulfilling of the prophecy: "A black man will be elected president of the United States when elephants fly!" FoG was released to the general public at the beginning of '08. President Obama was elected in the following November. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Sounds like a conspiracy..... especialy with the flying elephants which would cause an additional -1 to your ct if they flew over or within a half base width of one of your units??
Maybe this was an X-files episode, the lights don't really move that far they are just suddenly and mysteriously transported by an alien ship, experimented on and then placed back on the battle field in the wrong place since they don't have any satelites to help the aliens use their GPS

Why are you so complicated? Conspiracy, alien, X-files... Disney knew the answer since
1941

Thats because Walt Disney was a Nazi and this was one of his failed experiments.
